Important: Official transcripts must be sent directly from the institution where the transfer course was taken to the UNH Registrar’s Office. Transcripts submitted by the student will not be accepted.

After the official transcript is received, the Registrar’s Office Transfer Affairs team will review the coursework to determine transfer credit eligibility.
- The Registrar’s office will review and approve if a course is eligible for transfer credit, and if the course is eligible for Discovery Program or general elective credit.
- Approved transfer credit coursework will then be applied to the student’s academic record.
- If a student completed a Transfer Credit Prior Approval Form that will be used to apply any transfer credit for any program requirements etc.
- A notification will be sent to the student’s UNH email when completed.
Step Four: Student's Review of Applied Transfer Credit
After transfer coursework is reviewed and approved by the Registrar’s Office, the transfer credit is applied to the students’ academic record. Students must then review the degree audit to confirm the transfer credit has been applied as expected.
Review the following on the degree audit:
- Top Block – Review the total number of transfer credits applied.
- Discovery Program – Review if a transfer course fulfills Discovery Program requirements.
