CourseLeaf CIM & CAT Overview

Curriculum Inventory Management (CIM)

CIM is a centralized online platform that streamlines the submission, review, and approval of curriculum proposals for courses, programs and more. In CIM users can access the following forms:

  • Course Form (New, Edit, Inactivate)
  • Program Form (New, Edit, Inactivate)
  • Academic Program Review Form (5 or 10 yr)
  • Course Special Fee Form
  • Department Request Form
  • Pause Program Admissions Form
  • Subject Prefix Request Form

Academic Catalog (CAT)

CAT is a web-based system that enables academic departments to create, edit, and publish the university’s official academic catalog in a structured and consistent format. The catalog includes:

  • Academic Resources & Policies
  • General Information
  • College & Department Overviews
  • Course Descriptions
  • Program Descriptions & Requirements
  • Student Learning Outcomes
  • Student Rights, Rules, and Responsibilities
  • Undergraduate, Graduate, and Law School
  • Web Archives & Downloadable PDFs

 

CourseLeaf Accounts & Access

Faculty and staff who edit catalog content or submit curriculum changes will need a CourseLeaf account to access to the appropriate CourseLeaf system(s). CourseLeaf CIM and/or CAT accounts are available upon request to full-time faculty, and designated staff who are responsible for catalog maintenance or curriculum submissions within an academic department or administrative office. Access is role-based and may vary depending on department role assigned (e.g., catalog editor, department chair, faculty proposer).

Account Requests

  • Submit a :
    • Select Request Type: 'Account Request'
    • Description Field: Indicate if the request is for CIM and/or CAT access.
      • CAT: list the pages in the catalog that require editor access for this account.
