  • AMEC is a national marine energy center which operates as a university-led consortium between UNH, Stony Brook University, Lehigh University, and the Coastal Studies Institute to address the ongoing needs for research, development, and testing in support of wave, tidal, and ocean current energy and Powering the Blue Economy (PBE) applications.
  • Behavioral Research Lab is a multidisciplinary lab for studying human behavior and decision-making. It is an important asset to Paul College, supporting our research mission by providing a sophisticated and controlled environment to facilitate the creation of scientific knowledge.
  • Nationally-acclaimed resource for research, leadership development, and engaged scholarship relevant to public policy; addresses the most pressing challenges of the twenty-first century, striving for innovative, responsive, and equitable solutions at all levels of government and in the for-profit and nonprofit sectors
    • The  (DEM) engages in demographic research to inform public policy. Senior Demographer Kenneth Johnson is a regular go-to for major media outlets and policy groups because of his expertise and ability to explain demographic information to a broad audience.
    • The  (EnCo) is home to NH Listens, creating spaces for conversation and collaboration so communities work for everyone. EnCo works alongside schools, towns, libraries, health networks, and community organizations to strengthen civic health, build trust, and support shared decision-making.
    • The  (CIF) addresses the need for access to capital in underserved communities through applied research, training, and practitioner-driven solutions. CIF convenes private and public sector organizations to design community and economic development products, policies, and strategies.
    • The  (SPiP) is Carsey’s applied social research and evaluation hub, skilled equally in data and community collaboration. It is home to the NH Early Care and Education Research Consortium, which coordinates and builds evidence for strong early care and education systems.
  • Center of Integrated Biomedical and Bioengineering Research (CIBBR)UNH CIBBR strives to bridge the gap between basic biomedical and bioengineering research and clinical and/or commercial outcomes.
  • Explores the hidden world of soil microbes across diverse landscapes — from farms to forests and even the Arctic — to understand the impact of environmental change in these ecosystems and tackle global challenges like ecosystem degradation, soil-climate feedbacks, and sustaining agricultural productivity
  • Focuses on how sound can be used on land, in air, and under water to monitor and assess impacts relating to national security concerns, food security, energy, environment, and health
  • A NOAA-supported national center of expertise in the fields of coastal hydrography and advanced coastal ocean mapping  that fosters a new generation of hydrographers and ocean mapping scientists and develops and evaluates a wide range of state-of-the-art hydrographic and ocean mapping technologies and applications

  • Center for Studying Healthcare Markets The center, funded by the New Hampshire Health Care Consumer Protection Trust Fund, conducts research to better inform consumers, state policymakers, and state agencies on the impact of consolidation to the New Hampshire healthcare market. It examines hospital, physician, and private insure market consolidation
  • Our mission is to apply sound science and engineering practices to seafood production in ways that: 1) Provide educational opportunities and skills to our future US workforce, 2) Innovate seafood technologies and practices through interdisciplinary research, 3) Collaborate with industry and other partners to promote responsible seafood, and 4) Communicate our findings to benefit communities, the environment, and society.

  • The Sports and Entertainment Law Institute brings the exploding worlds of sports law and entertainment law to life by hosting events highlighting important and newsworthy cases. The SELI works in collaboration with the faculty of the Franklin Pierce Center for Intellectual Property.
  • Sustainability InstituteDrawing on its status as a leading authority on sustainability within higher education, acts as a convener, cultivator, and champion of sustainability on campus, in the state and region, and around the world, working closely with educators, students, policymakers, and researchers to bring learning in sustainability to life
  • The Center for Cybersecurity Leadership, Education, and OutreachThe Center for Cybersecurity Leadership, Education, and Outreach (CCLEO) at the Â鶹app is designated a Center of Academic Excellence in Cyber Defense Education (CAE-CDE) by the U.S. National Security Agency and the Department of Homeland Security. UNH is the only institution in the state to earn this prestigious designation, which recognizes the University’s commitment to building a cybersecurity workforce and helping organizations manage their cybersecurity risks. Aligned with its CAE-CDE designation, CCLEO offers educational programs in cybersecurity as well as external outreach and support to businesses and governments in New Hampshire and beyond. Leveraging the expertise of UNH faculty and industry partners, the Center also provides resources to help build resilience, manage risks and respond to cybersecurity incidents.
  • UNH Broadband Center of Excellence (BCoE)Conducts research, provides consulting, shares information, and leverages UNH resources, research and technology expertise, and process and policy tools to support advances in broadband services and capabilities that will  enable all – government, universities, communities and industry participants – to use broadband as a tool to create economic growth, societal improvements and business success
