Sex Ed Sessions
NEW SERVICE!
Come with Questions. Leave informed.
You don’t have to navigate sexual health information on your own. Sex Ed Sessions offer a private, judgment-free space to connect with our sexual health educator and receive accurate, inclusive information tailored to your needs.
Whether you have questions, are exploring your identity, or want reliable guidance, we're here to support your learning, confidence, and well-being.
Sessions are covered by your student health fee.
What You Can Talk About
One-on-one educational sessions are tailored to your interests and questions. No question is "too small," "too awkward," or off-limits.
Topics may include:
- Gender and sexual identity
- Coming out and self-discovery
- Sexual health, reproduction, and safer sex practices
- Sexual communication and boundaries
- Diverse relationship structures
- Navigating sex and sexuality within the context of culture, religion, race, disability, and other identities
- Relationships, intimacy, and connection
You might benefit from a Sex Ed Session if you:
- Want accurate, nonjudgmental information about sex, relationships, gender, or sexuality
- Are exploring aspects of your identity or relationships and would like helpful resources
- Want a private space to ask questions you may not feel comfortable asking elsewhere
- Are seeking information to help navigate topics that can feel confusing, overwhelming, or isolating
Because traditional sex education often addresses only a small portion of people's needs and experiences, LGBTQIA2S+ students and students with disabilities may find these sessions especially valuable and supportive. However, all students are welcome.
What to Expect
These 45-minute, one-on-one sessions are student-centered, supportive, and conversational. Together, we'll:
- Check in and identify your goals
- Explore your questions and topics of interest
- Share relevant resources and tools
- Discuss next steps and ongoing support
Submit your questions beforehand
Students submit questions in advance, allowing us to gather relevant information, resources, and learning materials. During the session, we'll explore these topics together to help you feel more informed, empowered, and supported.

Sex Ed Sessions: What They Are—and What They Aren't
Sex Ed Sessions are educational appointments that provide evidence-based information, resources, and support related to sexual health and well-being.
Therapy, medical care, and wellness coaching fall outside the scope of our Sex Ed Sessions. If you are seeking support for anxiety, depression, trauma, or other mental health concerns, make an appointment with Psychological and Counseling Services (PACS) or a clinician with our Medical Services. If you are seeking goal-oriented support to help you create sustainable behavior change, make an appointment for wellness coaching
If it becomes clear that additional support would be beneficial, students will be connected to campus and community resources.
