Mental Health Emergencies and After-Hours Care
Students in crisis after 5 p.m. or on weekends may call (603) 862-2090 (Relay NH: 1-800-735-2964) and press 0 to speak with a counselor.
In-person evaluations after hours are conducted at Portsmouth Hospital in the ER by on-call clinicians from the Behavioral Health Unit. Students and/or their insurance companies are billed for these face-to-face evaluations. Students transported to the ER by ambulance will be financially responsible for those services.
Students may also dial 911 in the event of an after-hours emergency.

Emergency Contraception
Health & Wellness provides Plan B at no cost with a short visit with a clinical staff member. Just stop into Health & Wellness during hours of operation. Plan B is also available for free in a vending machine on the second floor of the MUB by the Commuter Lounge.
