5 choices you can make to support your environmental wellness
- Make your home a sanctuary
Your home/room/apartment should be a place where you feel comfortable, safe, and able to be yourself. Create a space that promotes ease by decorating with meaningful items that remind you of what matters most, and arrange your bed to support a restful night’s sleep. - Practice sustainable habits
Learn how your behaviors impact the environment and make intentional daily choices—such as recycling, conserving water, turning off lights, and avoiding littering. Be mindful of what you purchase and how it affects the environment. For example, limit fast fashion purchases and instead choose to donate to and shop at thrift or secondhand stores. Support local agriculture and enjoy seasonal foods by shopping at NH farmers' markets. - Incorporate nature into daily life

Modern daily life often places us in environments that are noisy and overstimulating. When combined with constant technology use, this can drain our intellectual wellness, making it harder to think clearly, be creative, solve problems, or simply be present.
Support your overall well-being by create spaces and moments in your daily life where you can learn how to embrace quiet. Reducing external noise, being in nature, and limiting the mental clutter that comes from overusing technology, can help you restore focus, clarity, and a sense of calm.

Spending time in nature can support emotional well-being, foster a sense of connection to something larger than ourselves, inspire awe, and provide clarity and perspective. If getting outside isn’t possible, you can still experience these benefits by listening to nature sounds, viewing images or videos of natural environments, or simply taking time to look out a window.
