Rick Cote

, Professor, Molecular, Cellular, and Biomedical Sciences, UNH
CIBBR Principal Investigator

Rick Cote is a University Distinguished Professor and Director of the COBRE Center of Integrated Biomedical and Bioengineering Research. His research combines enzymology, protein chemistry, and molecular pharmacology to investigate the regulation of photoreceptor phosphodiesterase (PDE6) in visual signaling and retinal disease, while also mentoring early-career faculty and advancing biomedical infrastructure.

, Professor, Microbiology and Immunology, Dartmouth Geisel School of Medicine

Steve Fiering is a Professor of Microbiology and Immunology at Dartmouth’s Geisel School of Medicine, whose pioneering work in cancer immunotherapy focuses on intratumoral immunotherapy. The lab's strategies use nanoparticles and immune stimulants to overcome tumor-induced immunosuppression and stimulate systemic antitumor responses, with translational studies in both mice and dogs. He is the PI of NH-INBRE and leads the CIBBR Mentoring Program.

W. Kelley Thomas

, Hubbard Endowed Professor, Molecular, Cellular, and Biomedical Sciences
Core Director, Data Science Core

Kelley Thomas is the Hubbard Professor of Genomics and Director of the Hubbard Center for Genome Studies.  He specializes in environmental genomics, molecular evolution, and bioinformatics, with a focus on using next-generation sequencing to study organismal responses to environmental change as well as mentoring faculty and leading core facilities for COBRE and NH-INBRE programs.

, Professor
Molecular, Cellular, and Biomedical Sciences, UNH

Don Wojchowski is a Professor of Biomedical Sciences at UNH and former PI of a COBRE in Regenerative Medicine, whose research centers on the molecular mechanisms of erythropoiesis via the EPO/EPOR/JAK2 signaling axis, contributing foundational discoveries in hematopoietic growth factor biology. He also mentors early career stage faculty while leading core facilities and fostering multi-disciplinary collaborations with industry.
