Her examination of the impact of trust between parties on their negotiation and post-negotiation behaviors, specifically the extent to which trust motivates effort and cooperative behavior after the deal, challenges perceived wisdom, and has landed her work in top journals such as theĚýJournal of Applied Psychology and Organizational BehaviorĚýandĚýHuman Decision Processes.Ěý

The Ethics of Tax Practice

Certified Public Accountants (CPAs) in the UnitedĚýStates and three million accountants globallyĚýmust comply with a professional code of ethics. One core ethical principle, that of integrity, implies fair dealing, truthfulness, and honesty in all professional and business relationships.Ěý

At the same time, CPAs who provide tax advisory services must also act as client advocates for their public accounting clients — providing that their clients’ tax positions are within legal statutory bounds.ĚýĚý

The Keene Sentinel: Fairness in Education

Twenty-five school districts and the state School Boards Association have joined forces in the latest education financing lawsuit and asked the state Supreme Court to set a deadline for the Legislature to reform the current school funding formula and “end the injustice and unfairness that continue to afflict our school children and our taxpayers.”ĚýThe request comes as the Commission to Study School Funding moves forward with the Carsey School and a Washington, D.C.-based research firm on a detailed examination of the state’s school financing system.
