According to a study by Michael Ettlinger, director of the Carsey School,Ěýand Jordan Hensley, policy analyst at the Carsey School, black voters are underrepresented in the senate by 16% relative to their total population. The admission of D.C. as a state would reduce that underrepesentation by more than one-third, to 10%.Ěý

New UNH research studying the Soligas tribe in India and their relationship with the endangered Bengal tiger has found that allowing the two groups to share a habitat both protects the tiger population and saves money on conservation efforts like poaching policing.

Carsey Student Plans Accessible Black Lives Matter Protest

Juliana Good, a student pursuingĚýher masters in Public Policy at the Carsey School, is working to organize an accessible Black Lives Matter protest for those in the disabled community. GoodĚýsaid she wanted to organize an event after attending several protests in the Seacoast area that were not accessible. "There were no ASL interpreters, the routes were not really planned with wheelchair users in mind," she said. "Being deaf, I miss out on a lot of the speeches and the chants and everything, so I wanted to create something that was accessible to the community."
