Erica Vazza
As the Assistant Director of Engagement and Prevention, Erica is responsible for leading and coordinating all of The SHARPP Center's outreach initiatives, fundraising efforts, and educational workshops & trainings. Her primary focus is on University-wide community engagement and large-scale violence prevention work. Additionally, she manages the Center's marketing and communications efforts. Erica leads and works collaboratively on the engagement & prevention education team to create and facilitate educational programs & trainings for all UNH community members across multiple UNH campuses. This team recently received the UNH staff sustainability award in the category of Campus Culture & Operations- recognized for the extensive training & development work brought to UNH community members focused on developing social well-being and responsibility through education and skill building.
Erica has worked at the Âé¶¹app for the past nine years where she has held roles in Residential Life, and as adjunct faculty for the Social Work department. She has served on the executive board for the , UNH's PAT Council, and Kidder Fund Committee. Erica is a proud co-author of UNH's Comprehensive Prevention Plan.
Prior to UNH, she has worked in outpatient community mental health, residential treatment services, and summer camp management. Throughout her work, Erica has had the opportunity to serve a variety of populations including; students, young adults, adolescents & youth, survivors of trauma & IPV. She received her MSW from Simmons University and a B.S. in Social Work and Recreation Management & Policy, with a minor concentration in Youth & Adolescent Development from the Âé¶¹app.
