Callan McCormack '28, an English Literature major in the College of Liberal Arts and UNH Honors student, received a Gilman-McCain Scholarship to study abroad in Ireland during the summer of 2026.
John S. McCain International Scholarships for Military Families: The Gilman-McCain Scholarship Program provides awards to child or spousal dependents of active or activated U.S. military personnel who are studying or interning abroad for academic credit. The program aims to increase the number of students studying abroad, including students studying in non-traditional countries, especially those outside of Western Europe, Australia and New Zealand; students from a diverse range of institutions; and students engaged in non-traditional (for study abroad) fields of study, such as the sciences and engineering.
