Fulbright Application Deadlines

  • Last day to begin an application if going through Campus process: Friday, July 25, 2025.
  • UNH deadline: Wednesday, August 27th, 2025 at 11:59PM. A full application must be locked for Campus Review to ensure an interview by the UNH Fulbright panel.
  • UNH interviews will take place between September 8 - September 26, 2025.
  • External (Fulbright) deadline: October 7, 2025, 5pm EST.

 

Fulbright Recommended Steps and Timeline 2025

  1. Attend a ,  or .
  2. Review the. Determine . Determine if you are . Review country descriptions, looking carefully at program descriptions and requirements and select the program and country you would like to apply to.
  3. By May 16: Meet with the Office (ETA applicants should meet with and Study/Research or undecided applicants should meet with ). We will discuss the following: Your motivation for applying; what country(s) you are looking at; project ideas (research grant); potential affiliations (research grant); teaching/tutoring experience (ETA), preparation for graduate work (study grant); letters of recommendation; and your ambassadorial qualities, leadership experience, and/or ideas for community engagement. *It is okay if you are still choosing your grant type/location during our meeting.
  4. June - August: Complete drafts and revisions of Statement of Grant Purpose, Short Answers (Flexibility & Adaptability, Community Engagement, and Impact of the Fulbright Award), and Abstract.
  5. July 25: Last day to begin an application with the Office of National Fellowships. 
  6. July 28: Provide to the Office of National Fellowships the names and email addresses for all three recommenders. The Office will send them information packets and steps to submit.
  7. August 4: Sign and return the nomination agreement form and sign and return FERPA form to receive your official transcript for upload to your application.
  8. August 20: Last day to send essay drafts to the Office for feedback prior to the UNH deadline.
  9. August 27 (11:59PM ET): UNH Deadline. A full application must be locked for Campus Review to ensure an interview by the UNH Fulbright panel.
