Madison has been the Survivor Advocate at The SHARPP Center since January 2023. She provides confidential, trauma-informed support and advocacy to students, faculty, and staff at the Âé¶¹app who have been impacted by interpersonal violence. Madison works closely with the Assistant Director of Advocacy to maintain the integrity of the SHARPP Center’s advocacy services provided inside and outside of office hours. Madison also supervises the pool of Peer Advocate volunteers, who help staff the SHARPP Center’s 24/7 helpline, and supports their ongoing education and growth in the field.  

Prior to making their way to UNH, Madison completed their B.A. at Lesley University in 2019, majoring in Psychology & minoring in Sociology, and obtained their M.A. in Gender Studies at Central European University in 2021. During that time Madison interned at the Cambridge Women’s Center and the YWCA Tanner Residence where she worked with individuals seeking support around food & housing insecurity, mental health concerns, substance use disorders, and experiences of interpersonal violence. After, Madison went on to become a research assistant at Harvard University where they collaborated on projects that explored biases and stereotypes present in the intersection of gender, sexuality, and race.
