The Â鶹app Peter T. Paul College of Business and Economics is expanding its online graduate certificate offerings with four new programs designed to help professionals gain targeted business skills in a flexible format.

The new certificates — Business Foundations, Financial Management, Marketing, and Sustainable Global Business — reflect a growing demand for shorter, career-focused credentials that allow professionals to develop new expertise without committing to a full degree program.

"More and more, professionals want access to knowledge when they need it," says Victoria Parker, associate dean for graduate education and faculty administration at UNH Paul College. "We're seeing demand from professionals who want to reskill, upskill, or fill specific knowledge gaps that emerge as their careers evolve."

Each certificate consists of four asynchronous online courses (12 credits), making them accessible to working professionals balancing career and personal responsibilities. Credits earned through the certificates can also be applied toward Paul College's online-hybrid MBA program.

Business Foundations was developed specifically for professionals who may find themselves taking on leadership or management responsibilities without formal business training.

"We often see graduates from fields outside business move into supervisory or managerial roles and realize they need a stronger foundation in areas like finance, marketing, analytics, and management," Parker says. "The Business Foundations certificate gives them an opportunity to build those skills while also exploring whether further graduate study might be right for them."

The Financial Management and Marketing certificates similarly help professionals strengthen expertise in areas that may become increasingly important as their responsibilities grow. The Sustainable Global Business certificate prepares learners for leadership in diverse cultural settings.

Parker says the certificates also provide an accessible pathway into graduate education for individuals who want to demonstrate their readiness for advanced coursework before pursuing a degree.

"The certificates allow people to establish their academic footing in graduate-level courses while earning a credential that has value," Parker says. "For some students, that can become a natural pathway into an MBA program. For others, the certificate itself may be exactly what they need for the next step in their career."

The new programs join Paul College's existing online graduate certificates in business analytics, supply chain management, and managing and leading people. Learn more about online certificates and graduate programs on the Graduate Programs

In addition to the new online programs, Paul College also recently launched a DNP/MBA dual degree with the UNH School of Nursing, preparing healthcare leaders with advanced business and clinical expertise to meet evolving workforce demands.
