Ryan Buchanan 鈥�18 is a fifth-generation service member and a first-generation college graduate鈥攁nd now he鈥檚 giving back to his community in his first term as a State Representative.

Buchanan served four years in the Navy, joining right after graduating from high school in Virginia. After earning an associate degree in criminal justice, Buchanan and his wife found their way to New Hampshire to be closer to his family. He had started working towards his bachelor鈥檚 degree in Virginia, and he decided to continue that path at UNH Manchester

For Sinehan Kerman 鈥�14, 鈥�18G, the relationship with UNH Manchester is a full-circle one. Kerman came to UNH Manchester as a business student, graduated as an employee and returned in 2018 as an adjunct instructor鈥攊n addition to her full-time role as听digital marketing manager at J2 Interactive.

After starting her college career at the University of Missouri, Alysse Winkelmann '21 transferred to UNH Manchester to pursue a听. The sophomore dreams of a career in neurological disorder research or child therapy鈥攂ut for now, she's sharing her passion for science with elementary school children in听the听.

Angela Mastrogiacomo '10 has always dreamed听of a career fueled by passion and creativity. So the Hudson, N.H. native decided to make her dream job herself.

The听听graduate has turned her love for music into her life鈥檚 work, running her own music public relations firm and managing her self-launched music blog. Like many who want to break into the notoriously competitive music industry, Mastrogiacomo鈥檚 dreams didn鈥檛 come true overnight.
