Why Pursue Computer Science?

In New Hampshire alone, there are over 1,400 open computing related jobs across many different fields, yet there were only approximately 400 computer science graduates last year. As the Code.org regional partner for the state, UNH's STEM Teachers’ Collaborative and STEM Discovery Lab have a shared mission to give New Hampshire students access to opportunities in computer science.

Retired Banker Joseph Reilly Named 2018 Granite State Award Recipient

Joseph Reilly ’78, ‘90G, cares deeply about the communities he lives and works in, which is evident by his decades of engagement in local organizations and nonprofits. For his outstanding achievements, service and contributions to New Hampshire, Reilly will be recognized with the 2018 Granite State Award at UNH Manchester’s commencement ceremony on May 17.

STEM Fellowship Program Yields Big Impacts

Serhan is one of this year’s class of Agnes Lindsay Fellows. The program recognizes and supports the development of talent among Manchester School District high school students, particularly students who are underrepresented in the science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) fields. This year’s fellowship is a partnership between the STEM Discovery Lab at UNH Manchester and West High School.Ìý
