
Elisabeth Farrell
Elisabeth "El" Farrell has worked with the Sustainability Institute at UNH in a variety of roles for over two decades, designing and delivering transformative programs related to sustainable food systems, culture and sustainability, energy and climate change, and biodiversity. She currently leads the annual UNH Sustainability Awards program, the Undergraduate Sustainability Research Symposium, and assists with the Graduate Research Conference Sustainability Track. Since 2010, she has been deeply involved in the work of, helping to advance key network activities. She has also contributed to many other Institute endeavors, including the development of the and the , as well as the book, The Sustainable Learning Community: One University's Journey to the Future (2009). She has extensive event organizing experience, including six New England Food Summits, symposia such as “Sustainability Unbound” and “Eating as a Moral Act,” and many others.
El holds a Master of Public Administration degree and a graduate certificate in Sustainability Politics and Policy from the , a Master of Fine Arts degree in writing and literature from the and a bachelor degree in anthropology from the . Her book of poems, , was published by Finishing Line Press in 2018.
