UNH’s Sustainability Action Serves as Powerful Platform for Student Education and Impact

SHARE

UNH’s commitment to sustainability action doesn’t just mean we’re a national leader in this area, it means we’re utilizing that work as a powerful platform to train future leaders. This year, 17 student interns are learning about the complexities of sustainability by doing sustainability projects alongside professionals on campus.

They are working collaboratively with departments from across campus on projects that will help build a more sustainable future. In addition to their projects, they are educating their peers about this work to bring greater awareness and action to our student community.

From helping reduce waste and researching sustainable swag, to supporting decarbonization and climate leadership, and educating our community about Basic Needs supports, students have a seat at the table to make UNH a more sustainable campus and community. Meet the interns and learn about their collaborative projects.

We're grateful to the Alnoba Lewis Family Foundation for their generous support of the intern program.
