In 10+ Year History, UNH’s Trash 2 Treasure Makes Greatest Impact Yet

SHARE

A student-powered program, this year’s Trash 2 Treasure back-to-school sale saw nearly 2,000 transactions and saved UNH students and their families over $90,000 in back-to-school expenses! A key university-wide program, Trash 2 Treasure collects spring move-out waste – thousands of items – cleans and stores them over the summer to resell at the fall sale. It has kept many tons of waste out of the landfill, everything from bookcases and books to microwaves to clothing, books, and fans.

A profound thank you to the UNH students and employees who helped made this year’s fall sale a big success – an incredible example of our campus community coming together to address complex sustainability issues.
