Laurie grew up in Pennsylvania but fell in love with the New England coast during undergrad at Gordon College in Wenham, MA.  She received her MSW from Salem State University and her M.Ed. from Simmons College in Boston.

Laurie has worked in numerous educational and social work roles, most notably as a study skills teacher at Landmark School and an online instructor of executive functioning courses for their outreach program.

As a disability specialist, she supports students with documented disabilities and helps them work through the interactive accommodation process.
