SUBMISSIONS AND PRESENTATIONS

What information do I need before submitting a paper or session?

You need your name, contact information, title of your presentation and an abstract. You’ll also need contact information for any co-authors. All abstracts must be submitted on-line through our Cvent conference website. On the site you will be asked to indicate the type of submission you wish to make. Your submission choices include:

  • Single paper submission
  • Poster submission
  • Panel overview submission (for panel organizers)
  • Panel submission (for participants of a pre-organized panel)

How do I get on your mailing list to receive notifications regarding conferences?

Can I submit the same abstract to more than one category of the program?

No, you must choose one category for your abstract. This is to facilitate schedule development.

Deadlines for submitting?

March 20th, 2026.

What if I want to make changes to author information, title or abstract after I have submitted my proposal?

To edit your abstract after submission before the deadline, please go our and using your created Password, access the Abstract Submission page.  At the top right corner, click on My Submissions, and you will be allowed to make edits as needed.

My research is on interpersonal violence, but not child abuse or spouse abuse. Are other types of violence research welcome?

Yes!  This conference is related to violence prevention broadly, and we welcome abstracts on a variety of topics including Intimate partner violence, Sexual abuse and assault, Technology-facilitated abuse, Image-based abuse, Polyvictimization, along with Child maltreatment and abuse and Commercial sexual exploitation of children.  We are also interested in co-occurring violence and social problems, as well as their relationship to resiliency.

My research is on treatment or prevention. Are topics related to intervention and prevention welcome?

Yes. We have always featured many talks on treatment and prevention of violence. This year we expect to have some talks presenting data from randomized controlled trials of programs as well as other types of program evaluation. We are interested in the scientific study of all aspects of violence and the societal response to it.

How do I find where and when I appear on the program?

Prior to the conference, information on the dates and times of all presentations will be emailed to you, along with a posting of the Conference schedule to our website.

Can I change the time and location of my presentation after it is scheduled?

No. We have a large amount of submissions to schedule; we purposively schedule based on space and topic. We ask that if you submit, please plan on the entire meeting days and times so you can allow for whatever time you are scheduled.

Will the session rooms have internet for presenting?

Yes, all rooms will have wireless internet.

I will need special equipment for my presentation. Who can assist me in obtaining equipment?

The Conference Administrator will send you a presentation needs form. On this form, please let the conference team know what you will need.

I do not have access to a computer or the internet. How can I submit an abstract?

You will need access to a computer and the internet in order to submit an abstract.

Does UNH provide funding for travel?

No, UNH does not provide stipends for travel or conference expenses for meeting presenters.

Are meals provided?

Your registration fee includes coffee/beverage breaks and continental breakfast daily. Luncheon tickets are available for purchase separately.

REGISTRATION

Do program participants have to register?

Yes. Anyone who attends the meeting must register for the conference, whether or not they are the presenter/attendee/speaker. There are NO exceptions. Submitting an abstract does NOT register you for the meeting. You must pay the registration fee to attend the meeting and/or all sessions.  All conference presenter/attendees & exhibitors must obtain and wear a badge.

What is the difference between Early Registration and Regular Registration?

Early Registration dates will be announced soon. Early bird registration fees cost less than regular registration.

What if I will not be able to attend the meeting?

Cancellations will be accepted via e-mail at UNH_VPRConference@unh.edu. Refunds for cancellations submitted prior to June 1st will be issued, minus a 20% processing fee.  Requests for refunds submitted on or after June 1st are not guaranteed.  Each request will be addressed on a case-by-case basis.

Am I registered for the meeting?

You will receive an email after you register.  If you do not please send an email to UNH_VPRConference@unh.edu to verify your registration status if needed.

Are Continuing Education (CE) credits available for this conference?

No, there will no CEs credits available this time.
