UNH Today

Finishing Strong

A team of UNH students worked through the night to improve its presentation at the last minute and ultimately walked away as national champions, taking first place in the E-Fest competitionÌýand the $50,000 prize that comes with it, along with the Global Impact Award and an additional $10,000 for that recognition.

Serving up a Celebration

Welcoming an in-person crowd for the first time since 2019, the 29th annual Pride and Pancakes breakfast (formerly known as the LGBTQ+ and Ally Pancake Breakfast) was held at UNH on April 20, honoring the recipients of the 2022 Bill Kidder LGBTQIA+ Awards.

A crowd of more than 150 gathered in the Granite State Room of the MUB, with additional guests viewing via Zoom. Among those in attendance was Paul Tosi, a founder of the UNH Gay Student Organization (GSO), who was visiting from California and received a moment of appreciation.

Changing the Game

The minds behind what is being hailed as a game-changing connectivity breakthrough in the crypto and blockchain world spent much of the winter working together in the Bahamas while being hosted by an investor, just one of several to have recently made a significant financial commitment – totaling in the nine figures – to the work being done by LayerZero Labs.

Changing Course

The effects of COVID-19 extended far beyond the physical health of the UNH community. Among the many disruptors impacting the nation, college students’ post-graduation career plans were delayed. However, some students found silver linings available through the accelerated master’s program at UNH.

Library Honor

Carolyn White Gamtso, associate professor and director of the UNH Manchester Library, has been awarded the 2022 Impact Award by the New Hampshire School Library Media Association.
