Kennedy McGrath 鈥�25 was studying alongside the Pacific Ocean as part of UNH鈥檚 EcoQuest program in New Zealand when she received news she鈥檇 been chosen as a recipient of the NOAA Hollings Scholarship, becoming the second UNH student to receive the honor for sophomore students since 2019.

In a state that is woefully short on mental health workers, UNH alums are keeping the field afloat.

From March 30 through April 1, dozens of scholars in the social sciences and humanities from around the continent met on the UNH campus and at The Browne Center for the 2023 Dunfey/Sidore Symposium,听dedicated to discussions on critical and sometimes controversial issues facing our society. This year鈥檚 symposium, 鈥淭he Ethics of Encounter: Research, Communities, and Repair,鈥� explored ethical, collaborative and reparative aspects of social scientists鈥櫶齬esearch, focusing on restorative justice for communities that have been wronged by history.

Jonathan Weinberg 鈥�23听has been selected as a 2023 Truman Scholar, becoming the seventh UNH student to earn the distinction and the first ever from UNH Manchester.
