The passage from high school to college can be challenging, and it can be especially difficult for first-generation and multilingual learners. In response, aÌýmultidisciplinary team from UNH ManchesterÌýcreated a workshop to ease the transition to higher education forÌýstudents in our communities.
Mechanical engineering student Cornelius Plomp '22 and engineering physicsÌýstudent Trevor Cox '22 each participated in a competitive internship experience at DEKA, working on an array of research projects for some of the most innovative companies in the world. They share their experience on how the hands-on experience will prepare them for their careers and how it helped shaped the type of companies they plan to pursue employment at in the near future.
