The New Hampshire Manufacturing Extension Partnership (NH MEP), a public-private partnership that provides resources to Granite State manufacturers, recently moved its primary office to UNH’s The co-location expands access for Granite State manufacturers as well as UNH students and researchers to engineering support, manufacturing technologies, workforce development resources, and supply chain guidance.

“Together, NH MEP and the Olson Center are building a collaborative environment where industry, education, and technology converge — supporting talent development, accelerating innovation, and strengthening economic growth in New Hampshire,” says Tony Fernandez, president of .

Having NH MEP and the Olson Center in one location streamlines how businesses, including the seven who already partner with the Olson Center, access manufacturing and supply chain support, providing centralized expertise, technology resources, prototyping assistance, and industry networks.

NH MEP’s expertise in supply chains brings an especially welcome dimension to the Olson Center’s extensive offerings. “Moving a product from early production to full scale requires raw materials, reliable suppliers, transportation systems, and a skilled workforce,” says Olson Center Director John Roth. “Together, the NH MEP and the Olson Center help businesses navigate the production and supply networks required to bring a product from conception to market.”

NH MEP’s presence at the Olson Center also introduces additional career pathways for students, including new opportunities in supply chain management alongside existing engineering pathways.

“Bringing NH MEP into the Olson Center increases access to the expertise and technologies that help manufacturers solve real-world challenges,” says Roth.
