The Pittsburg, Kansas-based Morning Sun newspaper recently reported that the state taxes collected in Kansas have been largely unaffected by the resurgence of the coronavirus pandemic and were听higher than to be expected. A report conducted in July听by the research team at听Carsey School of Public Policy showed听Kansas was one of the only states, out of 14 total, with a larger economy following the first quarter of 2021.听
