Each year, roughly 600 New Hampshire children are diagnosed with elevated lead in their bloodstream, amounts of a toxic metal that exceed the levels found in 97.5 percent of American children, according to data from NH DHHS and the Pediatric Environmental Health Center at Boston Children鈥檚 Hospital.
