Five states (Arizona, Texas, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Georgia) have added almost six million domestic migrants since 2000. While that may sound like a lot, according to Kenneth Johnson, senior demographer at the Carsey School,Ìýthose net migration numbers may understate the churn in the electorate.
