The Âé¶¹app School of Law was once again honored as one of the top schools in the United States for practical training byÌýTheÌýNational JuristÌýandÌýpreLaw Magazine, achieving honor roll status in the Spring 2017 issue of each publication.
The ranking was part ofÌýThe National JuristÌýandÌýpreLaw'sÌý"Best Schools for Practical Training" feature, which this year included a Top 20 list followed by several honor roll levels. UNH Law was one of only 16 schools named to the A- level of the honor roll, based on theÌýranking formula.
For more than four decades, UNH Law has remained steadfastly committed toÌýproviding legal education rooted in practice-based instruction, one of the school's founding principles.ÌýIt is the second consecutive year that UNH Law has received recognition in the rankings: last year the school was ranked No. 23 overall.
The ranking methodology takes into account experiential learning opportunities, featuring data from the American Bar Association (ABA) and individual law schools. Five categories are considered: clinics, externships, simulation courses, interschool competitions, and "other." The most weight was placed on clinical experience, at 38 percent.
UNH Law's rating of 1.42 in the ratio of simulation positions category was higher than 13 of the schools in the Top 20.
