UNH Confucius Institute Celebrates Year of the Horse Jan. 29 and 30
DURHAM, N.H. - The Âé¶¹app Confucius Institute will celebrate the Chinese New Year - the Year of the Horse - Wednesday, Jan. 29, and Thursday, Jan. 30, 2014.
Top artists and musicians from China and the United States will perform at this year's Chinese New Year celebration, including members of the Jilin National Orchestra, Shanghai Theatre Academy, Foremost Art Troupe, and the Central Music Conservatory of China.
The two nights of festivities begin at 6:30 p.m. each night in the UNH Johnson Theater on the Durham campus. The events are free and open to the public, but tickets are required.ÌýPlease visit to learn more about the performances and reserve your tickets.Ìý

Established in October 2010, the UNH Confucius Institute is a nonprofit educational institution housed in the College of Liberal Arts. A partnership between Chengdu University in Sichuan Province, China, and UNH, the institute offers a wide array of Chinese language and culture courses at UNH.
The event is supported by Hanban/Confucius Institute headquarters, Chengdu University, the Federman Foundation, the UNH College of Liberal Arts, the UNH President's Office, and U.S. Sen. Jeanne Shaheen's Office.
