
, professor ofÌýÌýand chair of the Department ofÌýSecurity Studies, has receivedÌýthe inaugural Dave McIntyre Homeland Security Educator Award by the Center for Homeland Defense and Security (CHDS). The award, which was established in the memory of noted homeland security expert Dr. David McIntyre, recognizes a member of the CHDS community who has made significant contributions to advancing homeland security research and education.ÌýRamsay was presented the award at the organization's held online in November.
Ramsay joined UNH in 2015 to lead the creation of theÌý, which was the foundation for UNH earning its designation as aÌýCenter of Academic Excellence in Cyber Defense EducationÌýby the U.S. Department of Homeland Security and National Security Agency.ÌýWith more than two decades of experience in occupational safety, public health, emergency management, environmental health and security studies, he is widely published on safety and health issues ranging from needlestick injuries to economic analysis, hazardous communications, education standards and accreditation.
