UNHÌýhas become a member of HathiTrust,Ìýa global partnership of major research institutions and libraries that provides access to the largest set of digitized books managed by the academic, researchÌýand library community.

Launched in 2008, HathiTrust has a growing membership currently comprising more than 140 institutions. Its membersÌýhave contributedÌýoverÌý17Ìýmillion volumes, with more thanÌý6Ìýmillion of the contributed volumes in the public domain and freely available online. The content made available through HathiTrust has been digitized from member library’s collections through Google and Internet Archive initiatives, as well as via in-house institutional efforts. Its holdings offer an unprecedented opportunity to steward the cultural record through increasingly interdependent work that develops capacity and sparks innovation.
