UNH Museum of Art's Barber Shop helps build community on campus

Free haircuts are a hit at The Shop.
The Barber Shop, hosted by the UNH Museum of Art, is an event thatÌýcombines culture, conversation, communication and free haircuts to build relationships within the UNH community. This semester, the event was held on Oct. 4.
The Barber Shop aims to educate UNH community members of theÌýthe history of such shops as pivotal centers of community-building. At UNH, the haircuts become a vehicle to build bridges betweenÌýstudents, faculty and staff in a classic barbershop atmosphere with music, card games and snacks.
