So, you’ve scheduled your and you’re ready to roll. That’s great! But do you know, I mean, really knowÌý where you’ll actually be when you get here? Hint: One of the most popular destinations on the eastern seaboard. That’s right, millions of people travel here each year, in all four seasons, because it’s amazing. Whether you’re a shopaholic, intrepid hiker, full-fledged foodie or ocean addict, it’s the place to be. So, don’t come just for the campus tour — make a day of it. Here’s a sample itinerary that we think is pretty,Ìýwell, dang!

ITINERARY

(Note: Plug your morning or afternoon tour into this schedule accordingly.)

7:00 –ÌýFollow your nose downtown to find some joe.Ìý

7:30 – Shake off the sleep with a run or walk on the outdoor track at Wildcat Stadium. (Pat the cat on your way by.)

8:30 – Breakfast! Head to Main Street to grab an organic smoothie, or sit down at , where local ingredients dominate the menu. If you’re up for a short car or bus ride, in Newmarket is legendary, and everything’s made from scratch. (If you can crush , you’re Wildcat material for sure.)

10:00 – Lace up the trail shoes and take an easy hike around , UNH’s 250-acre wilderness at the edge of campus. Or kayak down the scenic Oyster River and watch the osprey dive for fish.Ìý

11:30 – Have you picked up your Wildcat swag yet? If not, head to the bookstore and shop 'til you drop. Don’t forget your siblings.

Noon – Have a snack under the gingko tree outside James Hall or, if you’re famished, head to the Dairy Bar for a sandwich or salad — the vegetables come straight from UNH greenhouses — or check out the options at the burger joints downtown.Ìý

1:00 – Go for a swim in the outdoor pool. Don’t worry, it’s heated.Ìý

2:00 – Grab your wallet, sunglasses, and sunscreen, hop in the car (or on the bus) and head to Portsmouth.

2:20 – Step onto the streets of one of the oldest (and funnest) cities in the U.S. No further instructions required here, just start wandering. (But don’t miss the Friendly Toast, Macro Polo, or Prescott Park.)Ìý

5:30 – Hit the decks for dinner on the water (seriously, you’ll be right above the water) with great views of the sunset.Ìý

7:30 – Dessert at (we like a scoop of black raspberry with peanut butter sauce on top) or (salted caramel chocolate pretzel).

8:00 – Walk to Prescott Park to take in whatever’s on stage. There’s something every night, from live music to plays, Shakespeare to movies. Take a route that winds through the historic neighborhood and look for the moon flowers.Ìý

10:30 – Let the buskers entertain you in Market Square while sipping a late-night espresso.

Midnight – Rest. You’ve earned it.
