Growing and installing Celia Thaxter's island garden

Celia Thaxter's garden on Appledore Island has long been a favorite placeÌýfor visitors,Ìýwho canÌýstep back in time and experience a piece of 19th century history. Each spring, the garden comes to lifeÌýthrough the efforts of UNH plant scientists, dedicated master gardeners and community experts. This past January,ÌýUNH student and internÌýAmelia CurtisÌýbegan sowingÌýthe seedsÌýfor the gardenÌýin the . By the beginning of June, the plants were ready for their trip from Durham to theÌýAppledore.Ìý
