Halpin, who teaches in the and programs at UNH Manchester, was recognized with the award for her tremendousÌýoutreach in sharing expertise and passion for science with the wider community.

Halpin's effortsÌýinclude implementing the American Physiological Society’s PhUn (Physiology Understanding) Week Outreach Program andÌýconducting PhUn activities with ManchesterÌýmiddle and high school students who participate in UNH Manchester'sÌý. In addition, Halpin leads elementary school students in the design and implementation of an exercise physiology experiment each year.Ìý
