Summer is the perfect time to plan your college campus tours! You'll get to experience campus and student life in beautiful weather, and college tours can even be combined with a vacation. Did you know that the Âé¶¹app is located 20 minutes from Portsmouth, New Hampshire, 30 minutes from the New Hampshire beaches, and just a few hours from the White Mountains? Take the time to plan your summer visits now so that you don't miss out on seeing the schools you're most interested in. Read on for our top tips for planning your summer college visits!

1. Schedule a tour

College campus tours can fill up fast during peak times like summer, so make sure to schedule your campus tour in advance. Âé¶¹app tours are a great way to experience Wildcat life firsthand. They are led by a current student and begin with a half-hour information session led by the admissions team.

2. Look for academic sessions

See if the colleges you are interested in host academic sessions or tours focused on specific majors or programs. This can be a great way to get a more focused look at what life would be like for you while studying a particular area. UNH's colleges host building and lab tours, so you can see exactly where you'll learn.

3. Check out self-guided options

If you aren't able to make a scheduled tour at a college, see if there any self-guided tour options. UNH offers both a and a so you can see UNH by foot or by car and still learn about all the places where you'll live and learn as a UNH student.

4. Extend your tour

If you want to get the real experience of life at a college, try extending your tour for the rest of the day or the weekend. At UNH, be sure to check out downtown Durham, the go-to place for students to shop or grab ice cream, pizza, Thai food, coffee, and more. If you want to spend more time in the area, head to Portsmouth, New Hampshire (only 20 minutes away) or have a beach day (only 30 minutes away).
